Silicon Valley International School’s International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme is founded on a student-centered approach to teaching and learning. It provides a rigorous bilingual curriculum that blends best practices of the U.S. educational system with the high standards of the national curriculum from China, France, German, and Taiwan. In the Middle Years, INTL has four programs including French/English, Chinese/English, German/English and Upper School Language Acquisition (USLA) in which students take classes in English and learn French.
 
The educational journey of INTL's High School students sets them apart as confident, curious, and resilient graduates of the most comprehensive and sought-after college preparatory program, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. For students in the bilingual program (French, Chinese, or German), the capstone of their bilingual journey at INTl is the IB Bilingual Diploma or IB Advanced Bilingual Diploma, a distinction achieved by fewer than 1/4 of IB Diploma graduates worldwide. INTL's USLA Program immerses students in our international community and provides the opportunity to acquire a new language and cultural fluency, and culminates in the world-renowned IB Diploma.

The IB Mission is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Several times over the course of a student’s years at INTL, they are offered opportunities to complete a significant piece of work over an extended period of time and, in each instance, communicate via a written report and reflective journal the outcomes of their efforts. Projects are unique to each student’s personal interests and passions and cover a diverse range of subjects.
